In a meeting the Parliamentary Taskforce committee on Covid-19, Lira District leaders said there were a lot of infections in schools which had an effect on the communities when the learners where sent home when the second lockdown was enforced.“We observed that when children came back from schools, that is when the elderly began to fall sick in the villages. Schools realised Covid-19 in their schools and they kept quiet,” Said Bosco Ogwang, a member of the Lira University Covid-19 task force.Ogwang added that students should only go back vaccination of teachers country wide.

Mombasa has opened a state-of-art Cardiology laboratory (Cath Lab) becoming the first county to have the public facility in the country.
The new unit at the the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital (CGTRH) is capable of performing complex cardiac procedures.
The laboratory was funded by County Government of Mombasa in collaboration with the World Bank Group.
The Cath lab, which was opened on Thursday by ODM Party leader Raila Odinga is expected to significantly help in improving the survival of patients with coronary complications such as heart attacks. The June 24 - 27 event is back on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar after a 19-year absence. It was regarded as one of motorsport’s most prestigious and celebrated events of its time before it departed the series in 2002.
Following a successful dress rehearsal at the ARC Equator Rally in April - which featured some of the same stages that will be used in June - organisers have been busy preparing the roads.
