Goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho secured a 2-1 home win for Manchester City over fourth-placed West Ham United to move the champions within a point of Chelsea at the top. Man City went close on 16 minutes when Aymeric Laporte's flicked header clipped the post from Gundogan's pinpoint delivery. Pep Guardiola's side broke the deadlock after 33 minutes thanks to the trickery of Riyad Mahrez, who created the opening as Gundogan scored from close range. Budget Committee chairperson, Patrick Isiagi Opolot, speaking to the motion for the supplementary request Parliament has authorised supplementary spending amounting to Shs 3.81 trillion for COVID-19 related interventions, stimulus packages for the economy, security interventions and other ongoing contractual obligations. The government in its request, stated one of major reasons for its demand for a supplementary was the decline in revenue collections of Shs 1.8 trillion due to the pandemic among others.
