Museveni has appointed promoted Wilson Mbadi to full General and appointed him Chief of Defence Forces (CDF). Gen Mbadi replaces Gen. David Muhoozi who was appointed state minister for Internal Affairs.
The latest changes have also seen Lt Gen Peter Elwelu appointed the new Deputy Chief of Defence Forces whereas Maj Gen Leopold Kyanda who has been the Chief of Staff Land Forces has now been appointed the Joint Chief of Staff to replace Lieutenant General Joseph Musanyufu who has been sent to civil service for redeployment.
Elwelu is one of the Army Mps in Parliament.

The Police at Nansana yesterday 17th/06/21 carried out an operation at Brocch Medical services, a clinic in Gganda Wakiso district at around 5pm.This operation was as a result of information from locals, who informed the police that trucks had parked at the clinic and drugs were being off loaded and put in other vehicles .

The ministry of Health has received US$ 7million about Shs 25billion from the Global Fund to install seven oxygen plants across the country.
Eng. George Otim, commissioner of health infrastructure in the Health Ministry, says they will install the oxygen plants in Mbarara, Hoima, Fort Portal, Kampala, Mbale, Lira and Arua.
He said the plants will be installed near the old ones at the respective regional hospitals while the one for Kampala will be set up in Wabigalo. The one in Kampala will serve facilities such as Entebbe hospital in Central region and will generate 300 oxygen cylinders per day.
The remaining plants will generate 200 cylinders for the regional hospitals and facilities across Uganda. Eng. Otim said the seven plants will generate 2,000 oxygen cylinders per day....
The general court martial has released political prisoners Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe, Dan Magic and 15 other members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) who were arrested in Kalangala last year during Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s campaign trail.
The 18 members have been set free on Monday as confirmed from NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi who said in a Facebook post that;

The Judiciary with deep sorrow announces the sudden death of its *immediate former Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Mr Kagole Expedito Kivumbi*, which has just occurred at Le Memorial Medical Services at Kitiko-Lubowa, Kigo Road. He was admitted at the facility one week ago.
The Judiciary is working closely with the family to coordinate the funeral arrangements, and they’ll be communicated subsequently.

KAMPALA, Uganda – President Yoweri Museveni has taken Gen David Muhoozi out of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) office and appointed him as the new State Minister for Internal Affairs.
Gen Muhoozi has been in the office for only four years after taking over from Gen Katumba Wamala in 2017.
The pending approval list by Parliament has seen Gen Muhoozi replacing Mario Kania Obiga who has served in the position for five years.
