President Museveni on Sunday wound-up his tour of Lango, Acholi and West Nile sub-regions, by commissioning several projects in Arua City.

  First was the ground-breaking ceremony for the 132kv Kole-Gulu-Nebbi-Arua transmission line, which will evacuate electricity from Karuma, Agago and Nyagak to West Nile and parts of Northern Uganda.   Next was commissioning of Joadah Consults, a privately-owned produce-processing and value-addition factory. Owned by Mr Joel Aita, the facility will process/add value to 250,000kgs of cereals daily, and is expected to rake in Shs15b annually. The factory is fed by over 30,000 farmers who previously grew tobacco but have switched to cereals.   Finally, the President commissioned Electro-Maxx, an 8MW thermal power plant, run by entrepreneur Patrick Bitature.
