Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected in Uganda today for talks that should culminate into the signing of the deals on Sunday 11, a top official from Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed "The Tanzanian president will be on her journey in a few hours for talks, which will climax with the signing ceremony on Sunday,” the official said. This will be President Samia’s first state visit since she replaced the late John Pombe Magufuli who died on March 17. Kampala,Uganda: Fire has gutted the Joint Medical Stores Warehouse in Nakawa Industrial Area. Firefighters worked tirelessly to put out the fire to save the entire infrastructure from going up in flames. The fire, whose cause has not been readily established, sent a big dark smoke on the sky, destroying drugs and structures. The private pharmaceutical store serving at least 3000 medical facilities were established in 1979 as a joint venture between Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) and Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB). JMS is licensed by National Drug Authority to engage in import, export, wholesale of medicines and related health care supplies.

Omulangira Arnold Ssimbwa, well known as the Prince survived MV Kalangala Boat accident has been confirmed dead after failed treatment at Nsambya Hospital. Prince Ssimbwa is a son to prince David Ggolooba who is a brother to the King of Buganda Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and his death has left many shocked. He is one of the survivors of the November 24 fatal boat accident on Lake Victoria, turned up at Victory Christian Centre, where he gave his life to Christ and became a born-again Christian before getting married one year later. Ugandan Legislators have called for the expeditious reconstruction of Soroti Regional Referral Hospital following the successful surgery to separate conjoined twins that was carried out by a team of doctors there. The surgeons were led by Dr. Joseph Epodoi, a senior surgeon and urologist in Soroti Regional Hospital separated the twins on 26 March 2021.The twins were delivered on 21 March in Amuria district and one of them was dead. They were referred to Soroti but after assessment, they were referred to Mulago. After two days, the infants were returned to Soroti with one of the dead twins decomposing.
