According to provisional election results announced on state TV, President Guelleh of Djibouti has secured a 5th term with 98% of the vote. (Video: Radio Television Djibouti)

Ismail Omar Guelleh has been re-elected for the fifth time as president with more than 98 percent of votes casted. The elections were boycotted by the main opposition. Around 215,000 citizens were registered to vote. Guelleh has been in power since 1999.
