Covid-19 claims a life of a Congolese music legend

Legendary soukous star Aurlus Mabele has died. The world is mourning the death of a Congolese music legend who passed on March 19 in Paris. The Afro-Pop star was aged 67 and has been battling a throat tumor for about 15 years. He also suffered after a stroke in 2005. He was one of the first Paris-based soukous stars and set the standard with several LPs in the 80s. The news of his death was announced by his nephew, Robert Brazza on his Facebook page. Ugandan photojournalist Tony Babara commonly known as Natty Dread is held up behind bars in Rwanda after being arrested by the authorities. He was arrested last month on Valentine’s Day (14th February) in the capital Kigali. Natty has been behind bars since February 14. He is said to have traveled to Kigali for a concert by Caribbean legendary Zouk band Kassav on Valentine’s Day. Kassav, is considered the most famous in the history of the Zouk music genre. Al Worden, an astronaut from the Apollo lunar program has died, NASA says. Worden was command module pilot on the Apollo 15 lunar landing -- and although he never got to walk on the moon, he performed three spacewalks on the flight back from the moon to retrieve film from cameras on the spacecraft, according to NASA. As astronauts David Scott and James B. Irwin explored mountains on the moon, Worden circled around them. "During this time he earned a world record as 'most isolated human being' while his crewmates roamed the lunar surface, and he was 2,235 miles away from anyone else," NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a statement.
