Robson: Russell would be ‘massive loss’ to Williams

CARS, FIA, Formula 1, Motorsport, RACING, Sports
Williams’ head of vehicle performance, Dave Robson, feels George Russel would be a “massive loss” if he left the team at the end of the season. Robson has previously described Russell as being “very close” to Lewis Hamilton in terms of his talent behind the wheel, and the 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a drive at Mercedes next season if Valtteri Bottas leaves. The young Briton has yet to be out-qualified by a team-mate in his time with Williams so far, only losing out once in F1 – to Bottas by a few hundredths of a second in his one race at Mercedes while Hamilton was sidelined with Covid-19. If Russell’s time at Williams is to come to a close at the end of this season, Robson feels it would make a significant impact on the team. “For me personally, I think he wo...

Based in the city of Liuzhou, known for its limestone mountains and river-snail soup, the company — which has sold some 270,000 of the cars within nine months, making it the best-selling EV in China — has even bigger ambitions for the future. Progressive American Insurance Co is not liable for a $10 million verdict a bereaved mother in Florida obtained after Progressive failed to follow her attorney’s instructions for drafting a $20,000 settlement agreement, a federal appeals court held Tuesday. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed Progressive’s win in a third-party bad faith lawsuit by Heather Eres, whose 8-year-old son was killed in a 2007 train collision caused by Progressive’s insured. Progressive admittedly botched the settlement with its wording of the releases; however, under a totality of the circumstances approach, its handling of Eres’ claim was “diligent,” “expeditious,” and “quite the opposite” of bad faith, Circuit Judge Kevin Newsom wrote for the court. He was joined by Circuit Judges Jill Pr...
