According to Butembe chiefdom Prime Minister, Mr Munaaba Paul, he explained that all along Basoga are known of sugar canes farming neglecting other short term plants that can yield a lot of Money, foods and Jobs to Communities around Busoga. He explained that Busoga has a very good soil with humus that can support Fruit Planting, Aquaculture as well as tree planting. He went ahead to urge all Communities to use the opportunity brought in by Million Trees National Initiative Uganda, MTNi-Ug to end poverty, unemployment, hunger while growing more Million Trees in every county. Survivor of MV templar boat accident Omulangira Ssimbwa dies

Omulangira Arnold Ssimbwa, well known as the Prince survived MV Kalangala Boat accident has been confirmed dead after failed treatment at Nsambya Hospital. Prince Ssimbwa is a son to prince David Ggolooba who is a brother to the King of Buganda Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and his death has left many shocked. He is one of the survivors of the November 24 fatal boat accident on Lake Victoria, turned up at Victory Christian Centre, where he gave his life to Christ and became a born-again Christian before getting married one year later. Kcca has over 600km of paved roads of which 70% are in fair and poor condition",she said. Part of the road to be reconstructed. The Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court has granted human rights lawyer Nicholas Opiyo bail. Opiyo appeared before Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga for his bail application hearing. Justice Kajuga granted Opiyo Shs15m cash bail. She rejected prosecution’s argument that Opiyo has no known place of abode, reminding the state attorney that police had made a search on the lawyer’s home. The judge further ruled that the nature of the charges cannot be used to take away Opiyo’s presumption of innocence until guilt has been proven. Days ago, Buganda Road Court had remanded Opiyo to Kitalya Prison until January 11.
