‘Corruption bites Hon Sam Bitangaro‘

Sam Bitangaro, Member of Parliament for Bufumbira South and three others have been remanded to Luzira Prison by Makindye Grade 11 Magistrate John Robert Okipi until January 6. The group is related to the sale of no existent land in Kasanda and Gomba districts.
Mp Bitangaro was charged with three others including William Tumwine, director in the Ministry Of Gender, Labour and Social Development, his wife Stella Kakuba and Francis Owor Onyango are accused of conspiracy to defraud government of UGX 3billion as part of government compensation to evictees from Luwunga forest reserve in Kiboga district
The Kasanda area residents busted the scum when they alerted the State House Anti Corruption Unit to investigate their area MP Simeo Nsubuga over land grabbing querries. It is reported by sources yet to be confirmed that MP Simeo Nsubuga channeled the deal to MP Bitangaro who initiated a fraudulent land sale affecting a number of evictees. President Museveni released the UGX 3billion to resettle evictees affected by luwunga Forest reserve.
It is reported, another 1.5 billion was from the National Forestry Authority, earmarked for infrastructural facelift towards schools, to the benefit of the former residents of Luwunga Forest reserve.
