A bomb scare caused stampede at a building which houses three courts of judicature in Uganda’s capital Kampala.

The bomb scare was announced by the head of High Court Civil Division, Justice Andrew Byabashaija, as he presides over a case.

This was after one of his guards walked to the bench and whispered to him that there was a bomb at the nearby DFCU Bank headquarters.

In panic, Justice Byabashaija reacted by ordering everyone out of the building for what he called ‘security purpose’.

Twed Towers located on plot 10 Kafu Road in upper market Nakasero in Kampala hosts the Civil, Land Division of High Court and the Constitutional/Court of appeal.
