A video was visualized on Twitter posted by the twitter handle @AfricanFactsZone which revealed Police Cars Made in Rwanda by Rwandans. According to the video circulated round, claims that Rwandans have began making their cars.
The tweet got the internet agog as people from all over africa responded saying that the cars were not made but assembled in Rwanda. Others influencers shared their view with proof of cars actually made and manufactered in Africa by African Nations e.g Innoson Motors Made in Nigeria , Kantanka Vehicles Made in Ghana as many others follow etc.
However, the video shows Volkswagen unvieling manufactured police cars for Rwanda National police that was assembled in Rwanda by Rwandans.
The company came into the nation in 2018. Volkswagen set up a $20 million operation in Rwanda expecting to produce up to 5,000 vehicles a year and creat enabling 1,000 jobs for the citizens.
In Kigali, Rwanda’s Capital city, VW placed a wager on another first for its global operations: ride-hailing services. “The project is part of an initiative to use Rwanda to test the future potential of a fully-fledged ride-hailing service” says VW Rwanda chief executive Michaella Rugwizangoga.
Meanwhile, congratulations to Rwandans and Rwanda National Police for this development and progress. They are yet to have their own manufactured cars officially imprinted as Made in Rwanda ..hopefully, someday they will unviel it to Africans and World as a surprise!
