Saving River Rwizi Green Trek around Mbarara Town marked to be Memorable as a thousands of empty plastics bottles we’re collected around the City. With Communities involved, this campaign was all about Creating awareness as far as better health is concerned. It was all about collecting of plastic materials that all along have been making life hard on River Rwizi, whereby it’s depth had reduced, it’s ability to support Aquatic life ceased as well as reduced water pressure of this Mbarara serving River. According to Dr Semakura Jibril Owomugisha, Chief Executive Officer Million Trees National Initiative Uganda, MTNi-Ug; He requested the Government of Uganda to halt all operating licenses for all bottling companies who have failed to set up trapping systems of collecting back the empty plastics. He went ahead to donate 2M bamboo tree Seedlings to be grown on catchment areas for R. Rwizi as UPDF also provides full manpower support starting with May.

I will not handle you like babies such that you keep voting me into power, I will rather handle you maturely as you keep selecting me into power while Promoting better health in Mbarara town” Said Mr Robert Mugabe Kachebezi.
