737 Max aircraft crash: ‘They can’t just go back to business’

Boeing has said it expects its troubled 737 Max aircraft to return to the skies before the end of the year.

The jet was grounded after two fatal crashes – last year’s Lion Air disaster in Indonesia which killed 189 people and the Ethiopian Airlines crash which killed 157 people in March.

Just hours before Boeing’s announcement, Indonesian investigators blamed mechanical and design problems for the crash of the Lion Air jet.

Boeing says they have developed software updates.
