The thirteenth prosecution witness, Emmanuel Odong, attached to the Directorate of ICT, testified in court about the movements of a Toyota RAV4 that Ggaba murder suspect Christopher Okello Onyum was driving before allegedly killing four toddlers.

Court was shown CCTV footage capturing the suspect on April 1, 2026, traveling to and from the scene in just six minutes.

The vehicle was reportedly tracked from Kyanja through Kisasi and the Lugogo Bypass to the New Vision traffic lights. It then proceeded to the Kitgum traffic lights, branched off at the Daily Monitor junction, and headed toward Kibuli.

The suspect later moved through Kisugu, Kabalagala traffic lights, and Heritage Junction in Kansanga.

On the fateful day, Onyum was also seen riding a boda boda, carrying a bag and wearing a checkered shirt.

“He was captured at a junction leading to the crime scene, which was about one kilometre away,” the witness said.

The footage further revealed how the victims were swiftly taken to Wentz Medical Center.

Prosecutors allege that on April 2, 2026, at Ggaba Trading Centre in Makindye Division, Kampala, Onyum, with malice aforethought, caused the deaths of four children identified as Eteku Gideon, Keisha Agenorwoth Otim, Sseruyange Ignitius, and Odeke Ryan.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect had earlier visited the facility seeking admission for his child and was advised to return later. He reportedly came back, paid the required fees, and shortly afterwards allegedly carried out the attack.

The victims were aged between 18 months and two and a half years.
