Matchday 4 of TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Group Stage Kicks-Off today

The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League continues this weekend with Matchday 4 of the Group Stage, as clubs across the continent enter a decisive phase in the race for places in the quarter-finals.

The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League continues this weekend with Matchday 4 of the Group Stage, as clubs across the continent enter a decisive phase in the race for places in the quarter-finals.

With the competition now at its halfway point as three rounds of matches have been played, the frontrunners are seeking to consolidate their positions while chasing teams want to revive their qualification hopes.

All eyes in Group A will be on Cairo on Sunday, 1 February, where defending champions Pyramids FC host RS Berkane of Morocco.

The two sides are level on seven points, with Berkane leading on goal difference, making the encounter a pivotal clash at the top of the standings. Elsewhere in the group, Rivers United of Nigeria face Power Dynamos of Zambia.

In Group B, Young Africans welcome record champions Al Ahly on Saturday, with the Egyptian side targeting a win to move closer to securing qualification.

Young Africans, currently second, will be aiming to narrow the gap at the top and strengthen their position. Later that evening, AS FAR Rabat take on JS Kabylie.

Group C action gets underway on Friday, 30 January, as Al Hilal face Mamelodi Sundowns in the top-of-the-table clash.The two sides are separated only by goal difference, with Sundowns leading the group and Al Hilal close behind.

On Sunday MC Alger host St Éloi Lupopo. With the DR Congo side holding a narrow advantage, the fixture offers MC Alger a final chance to re-enter the qualification race.

Group D fixtures begin on Saturday when Petro Atlético welcome Stade Malien at 16:00 GMT. Stade Malien currently sit top of the group, and another positive result would further strengthen their grip on a quarter-final place.

On Sunday, Simba SC host Espérance de Tunis in a fixture that could prove decisive in shaping the group standings as the battle for qualification intensifies.

Friday, 30 January
19:00 — Al Hilal (SUD) vs Mamelodi Sundowns (RSA)
Sunday, 1 February
19:00 — MC Alger (ALG) vs St Éloi Lupopo (DRC)

Saturday, 31 January
16:00 — Petro Atlético (ANG) vs Stade Malien (MLI)
Sunday, 1 February
