Kyambogo University has issued detailed traffic and parking guidelines for its 21st graduation ceremony, scheduled for December 10–11, 2025, as the institution prepares to host more than 5,000 graduands and their guests.
The route map, shared in the run-up to the event, outlines designated entry and exit points, parking zones and internal driveways to help manage the heavy traffic expected over the two-day ceremony.
According to the plan, vehicles will access the university through selected gates, including Kabaka’s Gate (Northern Gate), NCHE Gate and the Eastern Gate. Specific routes have been assigned to guide motorists from the gates to the various parking grounds inside the campus.
Designated Parking Areas
The university has allocated different parking zones to streamline movement and reduce congestion:
- VVIP parking for the President and high-level dignitaries
- VIP parking for invited senior guests
- Graduands’ parking close to key congregation points
- Staff parking in separate designated areas
Non-motorable sections, such as the Art and Design Gate, are clearly marked to prevent misrouting.
University officials say the plan is intended to ensure orderly movement and enhance safety for all attendees, especially given the high turnout expected each day. Day one will host 2,463 graduands, while day two will accommodate 2,675.
