The most notable move is that of Patrick Onyango, the former spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), who has been transferred to the Community Policing Command (CPC) to head publications.
Taking over Onyango’s role is Rachael Kawala, who until recently served as the spokesperson for the Wamala region. Kawala brings her experience and expertise to the KMP role at a crucial time, as the force continues to engage with the public and media. Her previous position in Wamala has now been filled by Lameck Kigozi, marking another step in the IGP’s wide-ranging reshuffle.
