Morocco had shown defending champion Senegal the door after beating it on penalties in the semifinals while Madagascar had beaten Sudan in the other last-four fixture.
Morocco edged first-time finalist Madagascar 3-2 in the CHAN 2024 final on Saturday at the Safaricom Stadium Kasarani in Nairobi to lift its third African Nations Championship title.
Morocco had clinched the championship in 2018 and 2020.
Oussama Lamlioui netted a brace while Youssef Mehri scored for the Moroccan side. Clavin Felicite Manohantsoa and Toky Niaina Rakotondraibe found the back of the net for Madagascar.
