The current boards of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nigeria National League (NNL), and Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) have decided to serve until the end of the current NFF administration, which is led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, according to the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF.

After taking office on September 30, 2022, the current NFF Board will conclude its term on September 29, 2026.

‎While resolving to gradually reflect and innovate for the benefit of the game, the NFF Executive Committee praised the body of work completed by each of the three boards over the previous two years and tasked them with putting in even more effort to create better-packaged and more appealing leagues that football managers and other stakeholders in the nation and the continent at large will be proud of.

But the Nigeria Women Football League’s board, led by Ms. Nkechi Nneka Obi, has postponed its decision until later, according to the NFF Executive Committee.

Established on July 1, 2023, for a two-year term, the league boards’ existence ended on Monday, June 30, 2025
