COVID-19 Cases Rising in Iran, Health Officials Recommend Masks.

Qobad Moradi, a Ministry of Health official, confirmed to Mehr news agency that the coronavirus is spreading again, though he said there is “no serious concern about an emergency situation” at present.

Health Ministry officials recently reported that the rate of respiratory illnesses from coronavirus and influenza has doubled, increasing from two to four per cent.

Hospitals are currently admitting between three to six patients with positive COVID tests daily.

Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi has instructed medical universities to intensify preventive measures against respiratory diseases, particularly COVID-19 and influenza.
