The Deputy Speaker in his speech at the function cautioned the graduands on the appropriate usage of social media as it shapes the kind of personality they portray to the outside world.

Among the high-profile students who graduated was Francis Isano, a celebrated photographer attached to Next Media Services, the parent company of Nile Broadcasting Services (NBS TV) and Nile Post News.

Vice Chancellor Dr Lawrence Muganda said the university community, parents and well-wishers were celebrating the hard work and sacrifices of the students and their families.

“We are proud of each of our graduands and look forward to celebrating together.” He emphasized that the day marks a reward for the students’ hard work and dedication.

Also present at the graduation was the Honorary of Namibia to Uganda, Godfrey Kirumira, various university vice-chancellors and distinguished guests from all circles of life and industries.
