Kylian Mbappe’s mother has revealed that her son has agreements in place with PSG and Real Madrid and all that is left is his decision.
The Frenchman has demanded and been granted the same exorbitant wages by both clubs as he nears the end of his PSG contract.
Fayza Al-Amari has been quoted exclusively by Arabic sports news publication Kora Plus stating: “There are no new meetings in order to negotiate the future of Mbappe after the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. These meetings have ended.
“We have an agreement with Real Madrid and another agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, and the negotiations have already ended.
“Now Kylian Mbappe has to choose.
“The two offers are equal from Real Madrid and Saint-Germain, there are no big differences between them, but we are waiting for Mbappe to choose what he wants.
“The Real Madrid offer in which we have complete control over the rights of the images, and on the other hand, there is a financial compensation that compensates for this.
“The two offers do not differ greatly between them, they are equal.”
Reports have suggested that after months of negotiations, Mbappe will opt to stay in Paris and attempt to win the Champions League there.
It has been reported that Madrid and PSG were both willing to pay the Frenchman a signing-on fee of €150million – around £126.7million – alongside wages and bonuses.
Mbappe would certainly have more power at PSG, with some reports in Spain suggesting that he has asked for – and been granted – £1m-a-week wages and the right to veto managerial appointments and major transfers.
The player himself told Marca last weekend: “I can’t say about my future but you’ll know very soon… it’s almost decided. This isn’t the right moment but yes, yes… my decision is almost done.”
