Jimmy Muyanja, a lawyer representing detained Boba 2010 leader Abdullah Kitatta and his co-accused has been expelled by the General Court Martial for misconduct.

Kitatta’s co-accused include: Matia Ssenfuka, Joel Kibirige, Hassan Ssemata, Jonathan Kayondo, Ssengooba Hassan, Sande Ssemwogerere, John Ssebandeke, Hussein Mugema, Fred Bwanika and Amon Twinomujuni.

During the cross examination session Mayanya kept interfering with the questions being asked by State Prosecutor Major Raphael Mugisha for his client Kasaija. In Mayanya’s defense, he argued that Mugisha should have left Kasaija answer the questions in defense of his testimony.

Angry Mayanja banged on the table which incensed court martial chairperson Lt General Andrew Gutti to expel him.

Gutti ruled that Muyanja could only return to the court martial when he was not the head of the temple of ‘justice’.

Lt Gen Gutti had warned Muyanja of his behaviour in the previous session.
