Former Church of Uganda archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo died on Friday morning after battling with respiratory complications since last year.
He was taken to United Kingdom in November for operations which spent over $60,000 (Ush.200M).
His treatment funds were raised through the fundraising platforms headed by the current Church of Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali who called upon the public to participate.
He was returned in a safer condition in early December, unfortunately, he was rushed to Kampala Hospital in critical condition a few days ago.
Nkoyoyo was the head of the Church of Uganda between 1995 and 2004 before Henry Luke Orombi took over his services in 2005.
His burial is expected to take place on Tuesday 9th January 2018.
