Uganda Rugby Sevens wins Sri Lanka in 2018 Commonwealth Games

The Uganda Rugby Sevens National team won the only game against Sri Lanka by 33:10 in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia on Saturday evening.

Uganda’s victory against Sri Lanka was determined by tries from the team Captain Micheal Wokrach, James Odong, Pius Ogena, Timothy Kisiga, and Adrian Kasito, while on the Siri Lanka side Danushka Wijekoon two tries to earn his team the only 10 points in the Match.

However, Uganda failed to qualify for Semi-finals after losing the first two games to Wales and Fiji by 31:5 and 54:0 respectively on Saturday Morning in Pool D.

Fiji and made it to the Semis and Wales to the placing tier after both ending in the first and second slots after collecting nine and 7 points respectively, Uganda finished third with 5 points and Siri Lanka at the bottom with only three.

Action will continue on Sunday Morning with Fiji playing South Africa, England will tassel out with New Zealand in the Semis.
