The Nelson Mandela International Day is a call to action for individual people across the globe to take responsibility for changing the world into a better place, one small step at a time, just as the late former President Mandela did with selflessness and dedication for more than 67 years.
On Nelson Mandela International Day, every person is encouraged to contribute positively towards their communities and reach out to those who seek aid. The day was officially declared by the United Nations in November 2009.
