Rwanda Men’s Senior National team the “Amavubi Stars” had their last training in Mwanza Tanzania on Friday afternoon ahead of the African Nations Championship qualifiers on Saturday 15th Saturday 2017.
The Amavubi head coach Antoine Hey will rely on the services of APR’S young star Innocent Nshuti and Police Striker Mico Justin in the hunt for goals upfront, while Tanzanian tactician Salum Mayanga has confidence in players who competed in the COSAFA Cup that ended early this Month, the services of Shaban iddi, senior player Shomali Kapombe and Shabaan Ramathan will be vital in his game plan
The team will reside at the New Mwanza Hotel in Mwanza town. They are scheduled to hold their training session on Friday afternoon at the CCM Kirumba Stadium ahead of the crucial tie on Saturday.
The last time Rwanda played against Tanzania was during the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup staged in Ethiopia, a game that Amavubi lost 1-2 in the group stage.
The winner over 2 legs will meet either Uganda or South Sudan in the final qualification round.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s National team, after losing to rivals Zimbabwe in the COSAFA Cup final without key players due to continental clubs engagements head Coach Wedson Nyirenda will manage his refashioned team comprising of mainly exposed skippers playing for Zanaco and Zesco, Ernest Mbewe , Taonga Bwembya, Ziyo Tembo , Toaster Nsabata all playing for Zanaco, while Zesco FC Kondwani Mtonga, Jogn Ching’ andu, Fackson Kapumbu, Simon Silwimba, Jackson Mwaba, Davy Daka joined the Zambian team that will play Swaziland away.
The two teams are expected to meet for the return match on July 22 at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, the Zambian capital
