A must watch corporate league underway this weekend.

After a competitive performance in the last week Corporate Circuit at Mandela National Stadium, the game of Woodball continues to catch the eye of many sports lovers with a “must watch or miss for a year” corporate league at Mandela National Stadium Namboole Kampala.

Woodball being one of the games to feature on a corporate league busy day, hotel Africana will be targeting to defend their woodball corporate league championship having emerged winners last year, Cipla Quality Chemicals came second and Spear Motors third.

Reportedly, many of the senior Woodball players playing in the BLB Woodball league will enjoy the day since most of their teams will participate as corporate teams.

Bank of Uganda, Buganda Land Board, Cipla Quality Chemicals, UNEB, MUBS, Ndejje University, Botlads, MTN, Pride Microfinance, KCB, Lestshego, Vision group, Uganda Brewaries, Nile Brewaries, among others, are expected to show up for the tournament .

However, more than 40 corporate teams will feature in a one day corporate league according to the Woodball Federation.

Besides the corporate league, on the same day the Uganda Woodball Federation officials led by Mr. Osire William will be heading to Eastern Uganda for the Soroti Woodball workshop to be held at the Soroti Grounds from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The workshop is prepared to lay Woodball foundation upcountry and probably set opportunities to Woodball players across the Eastern region, eventually, during the workshop experts will train how the game is played, officiated, and managed.

According to the Woodball Federation calendar next week on 4th June, The Corporate Circuit will resume at Kisubi Technical Institute, as well, on 24 June it will be the 8th ICPAU Woodball Junior Championship at Kings College Buddo, and, finally raping up the month of June the biggest awaited 5th Uganda international open Championship at Kisubi Beach will kick off on 29th and it will run for 4days.
